The St. John United Methodist Church (UMC) in Avon is hosting a community bazaar on Thursday, August 1, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event promises fun for all ages, with kids’ activities, music, and homemade meals.

Originally scheduled for July 18, the bazaar was postponed due to bad weather. Now, it returns with a full day of activities.

The United Methodist Women will sell homemade biscuits and sausage gravy in the morning. Later, they will serve a BBQ lunch. Throughout the day, attendees can enjoy face painting, games, a yard sale, and a silent auction.

Event Schedule:

• Bake Sale: 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Breakfast Biscuits: 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.
• BBQ Lunch: 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
• Silent Auction: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Yard Sale: 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Face Painting: All day

This year marks the bazaar’s fourth anniversary. The fundraiser supports Ret’s Retreat, a new project to create a youth retreat center.
