Outer Banks Visitors Bureau: Tourism Impact Grant Applications
The Outer Banks Visitors Bureau will soon open applications for Event Grants and Tourism Impact Grants. Only Dare County non-profit organizations and government units can apply.
Event Grants
- Application Period: August 1-15, 2024
- Purpose: To create and support events that drive overnight visitation during off-peak months (September 7 to June 15).
- Requirements: Applications must be submitted at least four months before the event. Funds are disbursed on a reimbursement basis and can be used for marketing, infrastructure, entertainment, and T-shirts.
Tourism Impact Grants
- Application Period: September 1-30, 2024
- Purpose: To help government units and non-profit organizations in Dare County manage the impact of tourism.
- Requirements: Funds are disbursed on a reimbursement basis. Awards over $50,000 require a match. Applicants must contact Grant Administrator Diane Bognich before applying to describe the project and determine eligibility.
