The 7th Annual Dare2Care OBX Shred Fest will be at Rodanthe Skate Park on May 18 from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

“We’re excited to take this show on the road,” organizers announced. They promised a lineup of local and regional bands, plus live-action demos from BMX riders, roller-skaters, and skateboarders.

Expect appearances from an X-Games athlete and figures from the Jackalope Contest in Virginia Beach.

This free, family-friendly event includes a Veterans Honoring Ceremony at 2 p.m., a Family Fun Zone, artisan vendors, and a silent auction. Food and drinks will be available, with proceeds benefiting local nonprofits.

“This fundraiser provides free music programs for area Special Needs community members,” organizers emphasized. Proceeds will support the Mustang Music Outreach Program, Chicamacomico Lifesaving Station Historic Site & Museum, and Chicamacomico Banks Volunteer Fire Department.
