The Carolina Beach Buggy Association (NCBBA) is set to open registrations on February 1, 2024, for the 15th Annual North Red Drum Tournament.

The event will take place on October 23 to 26, 2024, on Hatteras Island’s beaches. NCBBA Committee Chairman Mike Regan anticipates to host approximately 500 anglers for this year. The anglers will pick their spots between Ramps 23 and 45, South Beach Road.

In 2023, the tournament had 455 anglers, catching and releasing 120 red drum back to the waters. Cash prizes ranging from $1,000 to $13,000 were awarded.

The tournament has individual and team categories, and team members are eligible to win individual prizes.

Early registration ensures special limited tourney shirts for those registering by September 25. Plan your housing and look forward to an exciting event in the spring and summer. Families are welcome.
