Starting August 1, Cape Hatteras National Seashore will adjust the opening times for its priority Off-Road Vehicle (ORV) ramps.

These priority ramps will now open at 6:30 a.m. All other designated ocean-side ORV ramps will open at 7 a.m.

Priority ORV Ramps

The priority ORV ramps include ramps 2, 4, 25, 27, 43, 44, 48, 49, 70, and 72.

Night Driving Restrictions

During night driving restrictions, all ORVs must leave ocean-side beaches by 9 p.m. These restrictions will start to lift on September 15 if there are no sea turtle nests along an ORV route.
